Liputan6.com, Makassar: Need a lot of consideration to give the title of national hero for the late former President Suharto. This was revealed by former Vice President Jusuf Kalla when found in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Saturday (23/10).

"All the leaders in this country has advantages and also has some flaws in running the government. This is what should be a consideration for the government to make it as a national hero," said Jusuf Kalla or JK.

According to Kalla, the former leader of this country, like Sukarno was designated as a national hero because of various considerations, both in terms of successes and shortcomings. Title of national hero himself, given the purpose for society and future generations can commemorate the service and contribution to Indonesia.

"If the reason to give the title is to be remembered, former President Suharto had already had the title Father of Development which has been remembered by the people," he added.

He considered, as the Father of Development degree course will not reduce the status and dignity as a person who has a service to development in Indonesia.

"So, the plan giving the title of national hero to Pak Harto was a reasonable thing to remember the contributions made during his reign of Suharto," he said.
